Bear Valley Meals on Wheels seeks volunteer drivers for winter season

Bear Valley Meals on Wheels is asking Big Bear residents to step up as volunteer delivery drivers this winter, when icy roads and freezing temperatures make the program's work both harder and more critical for the valley's most vulnerable neighbors.[1]

The nonprofit delivers meals Monday through Friday, including holidays, to roughly 30 to 40 homebound residents who are unable to leave their homes on their own.[1] Every role in the organization — from drivers to leadership — is filled by volunteers, and all donations flow directly to the cost of meals with no administrative overhead.[1]
