Showtime Collision opens new Big Bear Lake location with ribbon cutting and community celebration

The family-owned shop marks 40 years in the valley with a free, all-day event on September 12 — including a vehicle giveaway.

A Big Bear Valley institution is adding a new address. Showtime Collision, a family-owned collision repair center that has served the mountain communities for four decades, will celebrate the grand opening of its new Big Bear Lake location on Saturday, September 12, 2026, with a free ribbon cutting and community party running from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The new shop sits at 41202 Big Bear Boulevard, and the event is free and open to the public. The official ribbon cutting — organized in partnership with the Big Bear Chamber of Commerce — kicks off promptly at 11 a.m.

For second-generation owners Erica and Tyler Makeig, the expansion represents the next chapter of a business their family has built over 40 years of serving Big Bear Valley and surrounding mountain communities. Guests can tour the new facility, meet the Makeig family, and take part in an afternoon of family-friendly activities including food and drinks, raffle and door prizes, kids' activities, a car display, and a Recycled Rides® vehicle giveaway presented in partnership with the National Auto Body Council.
