Woman, 18, dies after fall near Big Bear Dam

An 18-year-old woman died Tuesday night after falling from an area near Big Bear Dam, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies from the Big Bear Sheriff's Station were dispatched to the scene at approximately 11:03 p.m. on July 15, 2026. Few additional details have been released at this time.
The cause of death has not been publicly confirmed, and it could not be determined whether authorities are considering any safety warnings or access restrictions near the dam in response to the incident. Big Bear News has reached out to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department for comment.
The victim's identity has not been released, and no statement from the family was available at the time of publication.
