Big Bear Bears host Burroughs in football scrimmage Friday at BBHS Stadium

The varsity squad gets its first outside competition of the preseason after an intrasquad warmup earlier this month.

The Big Bear High School football Bears are ready to face some outside competition. After shaking off the offseason rust in an intrasquad scrimmage on August 6, the Bears will host Burroughs at BBHS Stadium this Friday, August 14 — a key early test heading into the new season.

Younger players will also get a chance to suit up, as frosh-soph teams are expected to compete at the event as well, though full details on those matchups were not available at press time.

The scrimmage kicks off Friday evening at BBHS Stadium. Fans looking for more information should check with the Big Bear High School athletics office for start times and any admission details.
