Juan Diego Flat OHV Road 7S04 closed due to Fairview Fire

The 3.5-mile off-highway route remains shut indefinitely — here's what OHV riders need to know.

By Big Bear News1 min read

Off-highway vehicle riders heading to the area should be aware that Juan Diego Flat OHV Road 7S04 is currently closed due to the Fairview Fire, with no reopening date announced.

The route stretches 3.5 miles from Juan Diego OHV Road 6S89 to east of Reed Valley Road, making it a significant connector for riders exploring the area. The closure's impact on local OHV clubs and outfitters who regularly use the road could not be confirmed at press time.

Even on roads and trails that remain open, California law requires all OHV operators on forest-, brush-, or grass-covered land to carry current vehicle registration and run a spark arrestor in effective working order — a rule the U.S. Forest Service is actively reminding riders to follow.

Riders should check the U.S. Forest Service recreation trail status page before heading out, as conditions related to fire damage can change quickly. Contact the U.S. Forest Service for the most current information on when Road 7S04 may reopen.
